Before every download, Karaoke Mugen verifies you have enough free space to download a file. However, due to a bug we cannot fix ourselves, asking for free space on Windows drives hangs or returns an empty result if you have a disconnected network drive.
The incorrect results are treated as if there was no space left. It’s difficult to change that behavior as having 0 bytes left could be a real thing.
