I may look like a dumbass by the time I have this question answered, but.
Trying to follow the guide to make a karaoke ( Making the karaoke :: Karaoke Mugen Documentation ) but the template I’m told to download is just not working. I open it up in Firefox and it says it can’t find a file of type MIME and opening it up in two different browsers just shows a video UI that plays nothing. Even finding a way to download it and trying to open it with Aegisub just ends with that application returning an error.
Am I missing something here or is something broken?

If you right click on the “Here” word you can select “Save file as”, it should save an ASS file. From there you should be able to open it in Aegisub.
Which version of Aegisub are you using? Can you give details about the error Aegisub gives ?
Ughhhhhh, I feel so dumb, it did not occur to me that the guide meant right-clicking on the hyper link itself and not what was in the hyperlink after clicking on it.
Tried what you said - it still wanted to save as an .aac in Firefox but trying it again in another browser saved it as an .ass and it opens up in Aegisub perfectly! The error it was throwing originally was something about being unable to find any audio channels, but like I think that’s because that original file I managed to download just wasn’t the right format or something. Either way, I got what I wanted now - thank you!
